Does the AI functionality in Confluence and Jira respect the permissions groups for privacy

We have several different organizations which use Confluence and Jira, and they have permissions which restrict them to view/access only specific spaces or projects.

Will turning on AI for Confluence allow a user to ask a question that gathers information from a space to which they do not have permissions?  Same question for Jira with respect to projects.
