I would like to change the name of a space in Confluence. Does this have an impact? So that links no longer work, is no longer displayed as a favorite or observations have disappeared?
It will only break things outside confluence that are using the name in a search, and most people would not have any need to be writing external searches that do that. Links, locations, access, all the internal functions, all totally unaffected.
Now, if you were to change the space's key, that is a different story...

I know, but it's remarkably easy to change during migrations or with apps.

Hi @Carolin 👋
Welcome to the Community! Changing the Space Name won't break anything as it is not used in any links, macros, etc., changing the Space Key would have an impact but luckily this cannot be easily done.
I hope this helps but if you have any other questions just ask away 😃
All the best,
Laura

No impact as only name will be changed and not key. Page urls will show page ID instead of names sometime and its OK
