Drag and Drop text from one table cell to another

Is there a way to drag and drop general text from one table cell in Confluence to another cell? All documentation on drag and drop that I read refers to pictures and macros. What about moving general text around.

I am unable to drag and drop text within tables using a default table and table plus.

You can however drag and drop macros within tables, maybe store your text within a cell in the table in a macro and drag and drop that.

I know its a work around but it will work.
