Drop down values started showing borders around and edit / delete buttons

I just noticed that drop down values on my form started showing borders around and edit / delete buttons. Is this a new feature after the upgrade? Can I turn this off?  

I just want a simple drop down with simple values compact display as it used to be.  

We are using cloud version.

Do you mean JSM Form or options on the work type seen as an agent?

this is a business project,  so there are no form, but rather a list of "Select List (single choice)" fields

I can't see this.

If I select an option or multiple, they appear with borders, but not in the select.

Can you check the field type of this custom field, what type is it?

Or could it be field types from a 3rd party app on the system?

I was able to reproduce this with a team-managed, project-specific custom selection field.  

This does not happen when adding a global / company-managed, custom selection field to a team-managed project.

This change has the same recently added behavior as Labels (in all project types / scopes) to allow color-coding by values.
