A feature I use often in Confluence is the Product Requirements Index to host the Product requirements.
This works simply by searching for a tag of 'requirements' on any page and displaying it in a list.
I've duplicated this framework in the past for another index with a different label.
However, I can't get it to work again. I'm trying to search for the label of 'release' to populate a releases index. Can anyone suggest why this wouldn't be working?
THANKS!
Hello there, thanks for reaching out!
As I understand, the page created with the Product Requirements template copy is not working as expected.
This might be due to the fact that the pages with the "releases" label do not have the necessary Page properties macro within it. Here is an example of a Product Requirements page that I created, in edit mode:
What happens when you set a label within the Product Requirements index page is that a Page properties report macro is inserted and set to show the label specified as "requirements". This label is automatically attributed to pages created by using the Product Requirements template:
If you need to have an index looking at another label, you will need to insert a Page Properties macro in each one of the pages with the label "releases". After you do so, the information should be shown there!
However, if the situation explained above is not exactly what is happening and you already knew this information, please allow me to ask some questions for clarification:
- Is the original index still working?
- Is the other copy you made still working?
- Are you still able to search for labels?
- What happens if you create a new label within Confluence?
- Was there any kind of change applied to your instance?
Craig, please let us know your findings. Looking forward to hear from you!
