I can upload normal files through webdav, but not eml files, even though it can be uploaded through browser. When trying to upload through webdav, the size is zero.

Kindly advise how to fix this.

regards,

Hello there,

Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you.

According to your question's tags, you are on the Cloud version of Confluence, but WebDAV was deprecated 2 years ago:

Can you confirm if this is regarding Confluence Cloud, or is it on a Server version? If so, which version of Server are you running? What method are you using to upload the files to WebDAV?

Regards,

Shannon

Hi! Thanks for the reply. It is server using tomcat 9 on aws ec2 instance. We have implemented https://www.webdavsystem.com/javaserver/doc/ for the webdav upload. The eml file works fine with browser but not through upload in webdav in windows.

Hi,

No problem - sorry for the delay. It's a very interesting issue indeed, and I'd like to try to replicate it.

Can you please let us know the following:

  1. If you were to rename the .eml file to .txt file, does the issue persist?
  2. Are you behind any proxy or firewall?
  3. What version of Windows OS are you on?
  4. What are you using to upload to WebDAV? Are you using Explorer or a 3rd party app?
  5. Can you please share a screenshot of where it is showing 0kb? We want to see if it is in the WebDAV folder or in Confluence where it is displaying that.
  6. Are other users able to replicate this issue?

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

Shannon
