Email Notifications when watching a Space

User that are watching a Space are getting email notifications (that include Page content) when new pages are created in the Space, even when the Page restrictions should prohibit them from seeing that page at all.

Obviously this poses a problem if the intention is to create content privately...all one need do is watch a space and see all the content of new pages that are created.

This can't be expected behavior...right?

If I had to guess...Bill is on the right track. Sounds like it's more likely user error than an actual issue.

perhaps they're adding the restrictions after creating the page?

Hello there,

This doesn't seem like an expected behavior. I've just tried to replicate a similar setup on a test OnDemand instance and was not able to, users following a specific space were not getting notified for other users's restricted pages, so at first sight it doesn't look like a bug.

This definitely requires further investigation, could you open a ticket at https://support.atlassian.com so one of our engineers can further troubleshoot what might be happening here?
