Email notifications to a page owner

Do email notifications about inline comments made on a page come to the page owner immediately?

Hi, @Hank Church.

I wish the answer to your question were simple, but it's not.  There are a bunch of variables. Most notably, individual users can change/set their own preferences for notifications.

And, of course, you, as the site administrator, can set system-wide defaults. But those will be overridden by the user's preferences.

I keep hoping someone will write a definitive guide on optimizing Confluence notifications.

There's some stuff out there. Maybe some of it will be useful to you.
