Fullscreen option for an embedded youtube video is not working, states that it is unavailable.
We tried:
- widget connector
- html macro plugins to manually embed
- display as embed from link
They do display the video, but without the ability to go fullscreen. We would need that ability for users that are anonymous/not logged in to be able to go to fullscreen.
Any ideas?
Our app "YouTube for Confluence" (see https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221789/) adds fullscreen support your YouTube videos to Confluence Cloud. Please note that due to some technical limitations in the Confluence Cloud infrastructure, the fullscreen feature is "similar" but not identical to the native YouTube fullscreen mode.

Hi there
I think this isn't even possible. Found this article:

If full screen mode isn't working
If you’re watching videos on websites other than YouTube, the option to use full screen mode may be turned off.
This is really sad...

Is there a way to turn on full screen mode option? It's funny, when I use the inspect element of problem location in Confluence and replace the html with what YouTube provide, full screen mode works, but when using Confuence widgets/tools/plugins, it does not.

I found a bug on atlassians board:
Atlassian said:
Hi everyone,
Thank you for previously raising this bug and bringing it to our attention.
Within our company roadmap and work capacity, we try to address or review each bug request but admit that not each one will be resolved. To continue the culture of being honest and open, we are closing this bug to focus on our upcoming roadmap for all Confluence users.
As we continue to roll out features we do look at requests made by our users and if you feel like this bug is still impacting your team please let us know.
Thank you again for providing valuable feedback to our team!
So there is no way to turn the option "on"
