Embed link removed? (sharepoint/office365 link)

Hello!
Today the excel sheet I had embedded on a page stopped working ("Unknown error, Try again" - I tried again, etc).
I tried to re-add the link and redo the embed, but then I noticed that the embed icon was no longer there.
What could be going on?
Has the embed functionality been removed?
Permissions or settings change by the site admin?
