Error rendering contentbylabel macro - maxClauseCount is set to 1024

Confluence Server 7.1.2

I have a page containing three content by label macros. All 3 are set to look only for pages in the current space with the current page as parent. All 3 are displaying the error:

Error rendering macro 'contentbylabel'

maxClauseCount is set to 1024

There are quite a lot of child pages to this page, but certainly less than 1024. Does anyone know why this might be happening, I'm not seeing it anywhere else on our instance.

I'd guess this is caused by this confluence bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-59315

--> another affected user mentioned that changing "with parent" to "with ancestor" could be a workaround, until Atlassian fixes the issue.
