Hi Patrick,

Are you using Confluence cloud or Server?

There is an option to download the Atlassian companion app and work on Excel sheets from the preview of the xls file.. is that what you want to do?

Usually the export to Excel (or CSV, etc) goes straight to a download file in your default download location.  it does not initiate the Excel exe.

You will have to open excel, the File | Open the file that was downloaded to your computer.

Be congnizant of what you are exporting - fields in view downloads the query results you see on screen.  Download all fields downloads every possible field on the form and may be difficult to manage.

I tend to follow up with some general cleanup (delete top and bottom rows, delete the column with images, etc) just to allow excel to do it's magic (sorting, filtering, etc)
