I want to fetch a file from unix path to the confluence directly. Is there any way to achieve it. Please help on this.
You need to first upload it to Confluence to have it store it the way it needs to (there are indexes and db entries for each attachment, and the final storage location for the file). You cannot make Confluence process your local file system data - that's just a security hole.
Now you could expose certain file system directories through your web server, but that has nothing to do with Confluence as an application.
