Hi there,

we could not load the macro usage page .../admin/pluginusage.action

The error message we get is "this side is unavailable".

We found another question related to the problem: Confluence Macro Usage page throws Page Not Found error | Confluence | Atlassian Support

The recommended solution in this article is to disable the Scaffolding plug-in. We disabled Scaffolding, restart Confluence (with clear caches) but we still receive the same error when loading the page.

We're using Confluence Data Center version 9.2.5 and Scaffolding plug-in is in version 9.1.6.

Are there any ideas to resolve this problem?

Best regards, Manja

Hi @Manja and welcome to the community.

I'm not directly aware of an issue with this and haven't come across this in the past.

That being said, the first things you should check would be the following - however, they are very technical:

  • Your Confluence application log (atlassian-confluence.log in the log/logs directory of your $data directory directly on the server)
  • The network tab in your browser under Developer Tools (This page explains how to open it on Chrome: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/open?hl=de).
    • In there you can check the Network tab for any red entries that ran into errors. Maybe there's an error message hidden in there somewhere.
    • Also you can have a look at the Console tab and see if you find any errors there.

In addition to that, it is possible that a network device (Firewall, Reverse Proxy, ...) between your PC and the Confluence application server might be the cause of this. Either due to a timeout, because the page took too long to load or because of something else.

In that case it could make sense to involve your IT or networking team.

I hope that helps!

Greetings
Philipp
