Hi Team,

Currently we are adding the product Confluence to our catalogue and need assistance on the query below.
Regarding the confluence application we have been getting the error prompt related to permission while launching the shortcut for the confluence application for the below version while testing the application in the remote VMs with system context.
atlassian-confluence-8.5.23-x64.exe
We have tested with the latest release again getting the same issue while upgrade the application.
Could you please assist us with the above queries.
Hi @Meta Team
This is a Microsoft message regarding permission not related to Confluence
Hi @Marc - Devoteam
We have retested the application from our end and observed that when manually navigating to the shortcut file's folder, a permission prompt appears. Upon clicking 'Continue' and relaunching the application, it functions as expected.

Hi @Meta Team
Jira can't handle this message from MS, so this is why.
You need to have the access or not.
Jira can't press a button for you to get access.

Hi @Marc - Devoteam ,
We have validated the latest release of the Atlassian Confluence application to confirm whether the permission issue continues.
During validation, the permission prompt was still observed. It appears that the installation process does not assign read access to the installation directories. Providing these permissions during setup should prevent the prompt from appearing when launching the shortcut.
Could you please share your guidance on this?

Hi @Meta Team
The installation of Jira doesn't change access levles on a MS server, get in contact with your company IT department to see how/if they can change the permission on the installation directories.
So that the user used on the MS server to stap/stop Confluence has the correct permissions on the directories on the server.
