Currently using the User Profile plugin from Communardo but would like to switch to something that enables larger pictures and more administrator oversight (e.g., the ability to create profiles for someone else). Do you know of any good plugins out there?
Hi Puja,
Have u seen Enterprise Directory and Org Chart? The images come from your AD, but suggested to have all the same size for consistency. The lookup directory is pulled from AD (or LDAP) and (and can be filtered with LDAP query string, like to leave out service accts, for example), and so you can have people in the directory that are created in AD, but that are not Confluence users, for example (if that is what you are asking).
If you have Confluence setup to use LDAP authentication then you can edit a user's profile in LDAP and those will sync over to Confluence with the LDAP mappings you set in the User Profile Plugin setup. You can also have the User Profile Plugin grab the photo from LDAP to get a larger one. If you upload photos through Confluence directly then Confluence resizes them to 48x48. However, if you use the API such as the User Profile Plugin uses then you can get larger pictures. Another possibility for larger pictures is an open source utility that I wrote to upload user profile pictures into Confluence.
