1. I recently installed this:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.swift.confluence.html
2. Then added the plugin to my confluence page and included the following HTML segment:
<head><meta name="description" content="Free Web tutorials"></head>
3. Next I viewed the HTML source in firefox.
The meta description tag is shown inside the <body> of the source rather than the <head> tags as it should be. Anyone knows what I am doing wrong please?
Thanks
Hi!
In fact every HTML added will be inside the body for security reasons.
To add information inside the head tag, you should go to Confluence Admin > Custom HTML and add the code in the HEAD field.
Thanks Bruna but your suggestion doesn't work when I want to add a meta description tag to each individual wiki page.
I cannot believe confluence doesn't have a easy way to do this. Right now I only have the TechTime's Easy SEO plugin which doesn't support 4.2.2.
