Has confluence removed the 'Placeholder text' macro?

I am trying to create templates with placeholder supporting text, but the placeholder macro can't be found in the '+' menu or by typing /placeholder.

I have tried multiple templates, and various pages to see if there might be an issue with the page, but didn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Matt, welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The placeholder macro is available but only when creating/ editing a template. So when you choose "use this template" you are creating a page based on a template and you won't be able to add new placeholders.

Creating/editing a template can be done from the global or space settings.

I still have access to this macro on my cloud instance.

Did you try with another web browser ?
