Hi,
Wishing for others to know, if using the new navigation in Confluence Cloud, that anchors do not work when new navigation turned on.
I spent a few hours today trying to figure out why my anchors do not work, until I contacted support and they let me know that there is an issue.
I wish Atlassian would have informed that there are issues - a simple notification banner would have been great, like when they informed us that the new navigation was available.
Here's a link to the issue support gave me https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-81174
Thank you, @Sussi Åström, for letting us know. Sorry for the hours you spent figuring this out. 🤯
We aren't using (been forced to go to) the new navigation yet, but this is highly concerning. I am documenting our application in Confluence and use many anchor links. We run our space through Scroll Viewport to produce a web site for our users to read the documentation, so I'm hoping that this doesn't affect the links working there.
I can let the team members who work in Confluence about this, but I'm hoping they fix it before we have the new navigation.
EDIT: The Jira ticket you linked to is about links in a Table of Contents macro, which is not anchor links. Is there an additional issue with links to anchors?
