I am trying to figure out if I can use Confluence to provide a static location for youtube content and have it automatically start when the page is selected.
Was able to use "Widget Connector" to get the content there, however it has to be clicked on once the user arrives at the page.
Reading the Multimedia Macro documentation shows an autostart for it but I can't figure out how to get it to work. The only way to use this was to actually put the mp4 on the page and then configure the macro.
If the Multimedia Macro is the only way to autostart a mp4, then is there a way to restrict the use of the video to just stop/start, adjust audio, and close it? Do not want the ability to comment or upload/download the video.
Hey Tom.
I was only able to accomplish that with an iframe. Here's what I did:
<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Pv3OhX0qjDg?autoplay=1?t=12" noborder="0" width="400" height="400" scrolling="yes" seamless></iframe>
As you can see, you will need to use the https://www.youtube.com/embed/ format, insert the rest of the link and use "?autoplay=1"(which will start the video automatically and "?t=12"(which is the timeframe).
In this example, I wanted to display a video of my YT Channel when the page is accessed, starting from the 12s of the video.
