Hierarchy templates

Yoram Dagan July 3, 2018

Hi,

I am looking to create a template in confluence which will build the entire hierarchy.

My aim is for every client to create a structured documentation, for example:

  • Customer X
    • Check lists
      • Onboarding
      • Conversion
    • Contacts
      • Page 1
      • Page 2
      • Page 3
    • Providers
      • Page 1
      • Page 2

Is there a way to create a template like that?

Thanks

Y

Hi Yoram,

Maybe our Page Tree Creator could be a solution for your requirement. You can find it on the Marketplace (Confluence Server).

Hi Emiliy,

Thanks for picking this one up...

They would all be under the same space, the customers space.

Thanks

The immediate solution would be to create a blueprint.

However, creating a blueprint is beyond my skill level, so what I've been doing is embedding "create from template" buttons within templates. For example, our Onboarding page template has a button for creating the IT Checklist from a template. It automatically assigns the new hire's onboarding page as the parent. You'd have to go through and create each page individually, but that works for our situation.

Let me know if you need further information :)

Would each client have their own space or would Customers X, Y, and Z all be in the same space?
