HipChat chats in to Confluence spaces

Hello. Is it possible to get HipChat chats integrated into my Confluence space? For example, I want a particular HipChat room chats to post on the page within a Confluence space. Im running Confluence 5.2.3 (server) and have HipChat 3.2.1.

Really all I want to do is have our team post a quick update or announcement (about 140 characters in length) via HipChat, which then also posts on our Confluence dashboard. Am I complicating things or is there an easier way to do this?

Well.. You're meant to chat in the client not in Confluence. =| All integrations I have seen is Atlassian XXX -> Hipchat and not the other way round. 

Though, the Hipchat's API is there for you to mess around with (https://www.hipchat.com/docs/apiv2/addons).
