My Use Case:
I want to describe a requirement in a confluence page. After some stabilization, this requirement shall be tracked wirth jira. But some of the values of this RE should be displayed in the page that is the description of this.
Is that possible, or do I think a wrong way?
Hi,
Also, if Jira uses external database, you can use this plugin in Confluence:
Hi,
Would inserting a JIRA issue in a Confluence page - http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Inserting+JIRA+Issues - work for your use case?
You can either insert a single issue, or if the requirement is being tracked across multiple JIRA issues, insert the list of issues that are tracking the requirement.
Would that work, or have I misunderstood the question?
Andrew.

Well, what i was thinking about was some kind of confluence template, filled up with data from a belonging issue. Lets say, we define a page as a user story, and connect this page to an issue from same type. Now I the defined fields in the template and issue are synchronzied in one ode two way..
But i think this is not the use case for jira and conflunece, or is it?

Ah ok, I see what you mean. That might be achievable with some development, but it's not something that I'm aware you can do out of the box.
Which versions of Confluence and JIRA are you using? If you're using Confluence 4 and JIRA 5 then Remote Links https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JIRADEV/JIRA+Remote+Issue+Links - would give you two-way linking.
Sorry I can't help on the specific query, it's not something that I've come across before.
Andrew.
