How can I escape special characters when using the Editor?

As an aside, in creating this table, I've noticed that table editing features (add row, remove row) don't work in this text box. Also, the bullet point isn't showing up in that table. There's a bullet point there. (Using Firefox)

Try using the CMD (CTRL) + z shortcut. It will revoke the auto-formatting
