How can I give acces to external users to only a couple of pages

We want external users to see only some of our pages in our space. We don't want to have to create a new space just fo them, and have the information scattered or double.

You can configure it by following steps:

1. Group this part of external users into a special user group, not the default Confluence user group

2. Allow special user groups to access the specified page

Above won't work.

First you have to grant for that user or group Page View permission is Space settings.

If you just add user/group to Page Viewing and editing Restriction it won't give access.

The only way to give access to specified page for customer/external user it's  1) create account for customer and remove it from any group 2) grant him View permission in Space settings 3) restrict all pages in space except pages that should be visible for customer 4) in case of many local users working with this space you might need to create group for them and restrict all pages for this group.

Our company has many local users and just a few external ones. The number of pages is growing rapidly by various people. It seems very elaborate to block access to say 80 percent of the pages, just to leave some 20 percent accessible to a couple of others.
I still hope there is another way.

You can even raise support ticket for that.

But the result will be the same: you have to stick with Confluence security model which isn't suitable for such case.
