My Confluence pages are set to public. Now, how do I make them searchable in search engines, like Google?

This isn't clear to me. How do I get to Settings, and Security Configuration? Can you please provide screenshots with your instructions?

  1. From any Confluence page, click the Cog wheel in the top right corner. This gets you to the Settings.
  2. Then click Security.
  3. When it expands, click Security configuration.

Note: If you can't see the cog wheel and/or the Security menu, you don't have necessary permissions. Just ask your admin to check that setting for you (your admin would be someone from IT/DevOps/Security, depending on how your company is structured. Or simply someone who set up Counfluence and/or the whole Atlassian environment that you have.

In more general SEO terms, if you want to improve your SEO, besides the very useful tricks and tips from the link shared by @Amanda Barber , you can use a marketplace app that creates a static website from your confluence content.

This is our doc site built from Confluence contnet using the app from the referenced article. And this is our site's SEO and other performance data. It's out of the box as we're not really doing anything in special to make it so.
