How can I render Markdown files from Bitbucket Server in Confluence Server?

On my Bitbucket Server's Git repo I have an *.md file which is perfectly rendered on Bitbucket (Bitbucket Server 6.0 or newer).

What I want is to have it rendered on a page on Confluence Server (6.12).

Is there a way to achieve this?

(The two servers are connected to each other.)

Hey there!

Currently, there is no native method to include this file within Confluence. We had a feature request that tackled this:

CONFSERVER-24088 | confluence should support markdown

To workaround this, we can still use some third-party applications, such as:

Markdown for Confluence | Atlassian Marketplace

Markdown Extensions for Confluence | Atlassian Marketplace

Hope this helps your needs Ingo! Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Diego,

Thanks for your quick answer.

CONFSERVER-24088 | confluence should support markdown

imho doesn't help because it asks for using markdown on Confluence pages.

My problem is to render markdown files on Confluence that are stored in a Git repository - or, in general, behind some URL.

But it seems, one of the 3rd party plug-ins you've added does the job:

Markdown Extensions for Confluence | Atlassian Marketplace

Thanks for helping out!
