I have no idea, why the server of my corporate knowledge base and communication center - confluence and JIRA - should inform google every other second about anything !!!??? WTF are the thousands of calls to www.google-analytics.com and how can I get rid of that s****?
Thank you
I found that one plugin was calling a mail.ru tracker which stored flashversion by running external script every time the plugin started. Atlassian dismissed it as accepted behavior, so if they don't react on mail.ru, i doubt they will treat google different. My workaround have been adding all the external servers it calls to /etc/hosts and route them to localhost instead of their destination, but ultimately you will have to block it on a firewall level, as many of these trackers are ran from the clients connecting to JIRA and confluence..
Thank you.
I do the workaround as well. But it should not be necessary to sandbox a server-application like Confluence and JIRA, that is known to store the most sensible data of the company.
Blaming plug-ins is an issue at its own, since Confluence/JIRA ship with a mass of plugins and disabling them one by one might take hours. And some of them cannot even be disabled.
Could someone (Atlassian?) guarantee that a nude, plain, Confluence and JIRA server does not send google-analytics calls in the mass?
