I've read in several threads that exporting and importing spaces with whiteboards doesn't work properly. With that limitation, how do you usually back up whiteboards? Is there any reliable method that preserves the content on the whiteboards during export/import?

There is an open feature request for this see, CONFCLOUD-76634

I see that we can export Whiteboards in PDF, PNG, or JPG format, and also import them using a PDF file. However, when a whiteboard is imported, it's added as a static snapshot, which cannot be edited further.
That said, exporting the whiteboard can still serve as a basic backup method for preserving the content.
