How can we define the user group that gets the Confluence access request emails?

Saskia Weigand April 17, 2019

Hi all,

I read lots of articles on how up to 5 people get the access request emails from Confluence if a user wants to see a page and is not allowed to. But I still don't understand which users those are ( I understand it depends on the page) and more importantly: can we change that?

Example: We have tried this with pages from different spaces in our confluence and only the person who initially created the space gets the email. Thats not very helpful if that person does not work for us anymore.

Can we change that somehow? We're using Confluence cloud.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't really know, but I would guess it picks users that have Admin Permission for the Space or Page. Exactly which 5 if there are more than 5 with Admin? Who knows.

We checked all possible candidates who could have received the mail and only found one (the person who created the space).
