How do I change the generic icon to a thumbnail that looks like the first PowerPoint slide?

When uploading a document (such as from PowerPoint) into a Confluence page that will be “clickable,” how do I change the generic icon to a thumbnail that will look like the first slide of the PowerPoint presentation?

Hi @M_ Morgan when you use powerpoint macro the first slide will be shown (which is something like a thumbnail than) - or you can use the solution @Bill Bailey mentioned.

If you mean programmatically, I am not sure how. Manually, you could create a thumbnail from the first slide and then link the image to the file.
