The Insert Excerpt macro is nearly the only feature designed for content reuse and single sourcing in Confluence Cloud. But I suspect the feature is incomplete because, while I can add the same excerpt on multiple pages, I cannot track where the excerpt is used.
So when I need to remove the excerpt, I have no way of knowing what pages it's removed from. Or when I need to update the excerpt, I have not way of checking how it affects the pages where the excerpt is added. I tried searching—the search finds only the original excerpt page but not the pages where the excerpt is included.
Am I doing it wrong? Is there a way of checking on what pages a particular excerpt is used?
You're right, Confluence Cloud's Insert Excerpt macro lacks built-in tracking for content reuse. Consider third-party add-ons like MultiExcerpt for advanced features.
Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
