How do I disable the new colored icons in Confluence 6.7.1?

These new colored icons clash with our branded site and are an eyesore, how do I either change these colors or resort to the old ones?  

Confluence you really need to think some of these things through.  If we used these our site would look like it was created by toddlers using crayons.  What were you thinking?

If you feel dissatisfied, then please contact the support and give them direct feed-back.

So back to your issue: from which version did you upgrade to 6.7.1? Can you give an example of an icon that you mentioned?

Sorry, I didn't realize you were volunteers, thought this was Confluence employees. These are new colored icons that come with this upgrade. I would like to change them back to gray.

Dear @Bren Lane,

I guess, there will be no option to bring back the old icons. But you can change them on the file system. This requires, that you use Confluence Server (not Cloud).

The icons are stored as PNG files in the folder $CONFLUENCE_DIR/confluence/images/ (most of them).

You can just exchange them with whatever you like. So if you can get the old icons from an archive you can overwrite. But be aware to use the same file names.

I don't believe those icons are in the directories that @Thomas Deiler mentioned.

Am I wrong about that? I don't see them anywhere in there.

I'm also trying to locate the icons. I need to get them changed before we can go live with 6.7+. The icons from the folder listed at the top of this article are completely different.
