This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Page Properties Report Macro
I am editing an existing Confluence page,. It already contains a Page Properties Report Macro. I need to update the display of my menu choices to include a new child page.
Curiously, I have a similar page where the menu choice was added automatically. In this case, I need merely to add descriptive text.
So, my questions:
UPDATE: I took a closer look at the 2nd page. On that one, the menu looks different, the macro refers to "Children Display".
Many thanks,
Steve
That seemed to work,. Am I correct, btw, that if the Page Properties Macro on the Home Page has a label (e.g. "foo") then the child page(s) in question need also have the same label?
Follow-up:
I have a similar home page which contains a CHILDREN DISPLAY macro. I investigated the child pages which have descriptive text on the home page. They all have two macros with descriptive text.
Which one(s) should I copy to my new child page?
Thanks!
You will need to insert the "Page Properties Macro" on the child page (you can usually just copy the macro from one of the other pages that appear in the Page Properties Report.
To edit an existing macro on a page, left-click on the the macro. You should see a little pop-up window with a button to "Edit" and another one to "Remove" (the window will appear either at the top right of the macro or bottom right of the macro, depending on where the macro is located on your screen). Select the "Edit" button.
