I have used sections and columns within sections for arranging content. I like the layout. But when I export it to PDF, the image sizes are different and content is disarranged.
Please advice.
Hi Jacob,
Could you elaborate a bit more on the problem you're facing in the exported PDF?
Are you seeing the problem that the content of your section and column macros is placed underneath each other in the exported file?
Using our Scroll PDF Exporter you can define that section and column macros are preserved in the exported file in the export settings.
However, if you do not want to go for a commercial app, an alternative could also be to use the Confluence Page Layout functionality instead of section & column macros, this is supported by both the default PDF Exporter and our Scroll PDF Exporter and the creation of the page is a bit easier, as you can simple choose between the page layouts, and do not need to put in percentages like in the column macros (of course that also means you have a bit less flexibility, but you might wanna give that a try).
I hope this helps. If you want to try out Scroll PDF Exporter, please do so via the Atlassian Marketplace. Free trial licenses are available for Confluence Server and Confluence Cloud.
If there are questions during the evaluation, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via support@k15t.com.
Cheers,
Nils
Hello Jacob,
Thank you for asking this. In Confluence Cloud it's possible to Customize Exports to PDF. This would be one way you can get your PDF to look the way you want.
In addition, you could use an add-on, such as the add-ons you'd find on Atlassian Marketplace.
If, while using the PDF export feature, you encounter any issues, please do report them to Support.
Regards,
Shannon
