How do I get columns to be side by side when exporting to pdf

Aaron Detwiler March 13, 2018

I have pages in confluence that utilize the 'Column' macro within an 'Excerpt' macro. This allows us to display excerpts of pages into various other wiki pages throughout our instance. However, when I try to export the confluence pages that host the 'Column' macros, these print on top of each other instead of side by side as they should appear.

Does anyone have an idea of how to correct this? I assumed that it was a pdf style sheet issue, but I'm not so sure anymore. Any tips would be appreciated.

Currently running Confluence Server 6.7.1

Hi Aaron,

I have done some testing on my instance and it looks like even without Except Macro. Columns are not showing side by side.

I created a feature request at the link below that address this issue in particular.

Please vote, watch and comment on it to ensure that the developers are aware of the interest of this feature request.

I have inserted a workaround on the feature request. Have a look and let me know if you require more information
