How do I update a Macro Body using REST API

So Atlassian have provided a way to get a Macro Body, using

/rest/api/content/{id}/history/{version}/macro/id/{macroId}

But when I want to change this using my own Addon, how do I do this?

I can't find anywhere to do this, other than somehow hook into the Macro Editor and call saveMacro with my own body, however I am not using the Macro Editor, my app makes changes from other user input.

How do I do this?
