How might I create a link to copy a page - e g open a page with the copy modal open?

Hi! I want to create a link to simplify copying a page. 

Yes, it is a template use case, trying to workaround that the template functionality seems to be limiting us from a permissions POV, since everyone that I want to be able to edit a template, must be space (or even site?) administrators - which we cannot do. I simply want specific templates to be owned by the teams themselves, which does not mean that we want everyone to be administrators.

So, I would like to be able to:
Create a link that opens a page to the copy modal directly. 

( A workaround might be to create a commandline tool that uses the API to copy a page and then open that page in edit mode. Or perhaps a small scriptlet - but I am not sure how I would deploy that wrt access tokens. Its a convoluted workaround for a simple thing. )

Any tips or ideas welcome!
