Seeking Assistance with JIRA-Confluence Automation for Epics and Stories
Hello Atlassian Community,
I am currently working on a project where I aim to tightly integrate JIRA Software with Confluence for enhanced project management. My goal is to automatically create a structured layout in Confluence that mirrors and organizes information based on epics and stories created in JIRA.
Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:
JIRA Epic-Based Automation: When an epic is created in JIRA (e.g., SW-5), I want a corresponding structure to be automatically generated in Confluence. This should include specific pages or sections for each story linked to that epic.
Confluence Page Creation Using Templates: For each story (like SW5.1, SW5.2, etc.juste example) under an epic, a Confluence page should be auto-created using a predefined template. For example, 'Analysis' type stories would use an 'Analysis' template, and so on.
Organization and Customization: While these pages will use common templates, they will contain specific information for each story. Pages related to a specific epic (like SW-5) will be grouped together in Confluence.
I have a few questions regarding this:
Is it possible to set up this kind of automation between JIRA and Confluence?
Are there any specific add-ons or tools you would recommend to facilitate this process?
Do you have any advice or best practices for implementing such an integration?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I’m also open to alternative suggestions if you think there's a better way to achieve these objectives.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!
Best regards,
