Earlier this week, Confluence updated the sidebar and swapped the pages icon for a tree icon. With this change, I lost the ability to add new pages from the sidebar. I also lost quick access to "reorder pages".
When I open the tree side panel, if there are no pages in the space I can't do anything.
So at this point, the only way to make new pages is to add a "template" macro on the overview page. How can I revert back to the previous controls?
I am having the same struggle! It used to be so easy to create pages and re-order them. I did find an article about creating pages and blogs. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/create-and-edit-pages-139476.html
This article, however, references a header bar that is not present in my Confluence, rending that article useless. Would love to hear from other members of the community how to fix this.
You can press the + icon to create new pages, but reordering them is now hidden.
Press the gear icon > Content Tools > Reorder Pages.
