I would like to set up a page tree in Confluence using templates. The first template is "Request". Once the request is approved, a new page should be created underneath it from the "Exploration" template.
Some of the data entered on the Request page should automatically be carried over into the Exploration page. I tried using the Excerpt and Excerpt Include macros, but they require me to manually enter the page name.
What I’m looking for is a way to reference the parent page dynamically (something like an @parent
token), so the Exploration page always pulls data from its parent without having to specify the page name each time.
Is this possible in Confluence (out of the box or with an app)?
Welcome to the community.
Ootb this is not possible.
You will have to look at marketplace apps, like page tree creator.
Bummer... The company I work for is difficult in adding new marketplace apps :-( but thanks!
