How to change all links inside pages when moving a section to another place.

Hello!
It is necessary to transfer a large section with many child pages from one space to another in the same instance, so that all links (leading to the pages of this section) nested in the pages change taking into account the address of the new space. When moving a section to another space, links located inside pages save URLs from the old space and do not make sense.

How do I move a section with child pages so that the links inside the page also change their URL to a new space?

Hi @Дмитрий Пересекин

I'm a little bit confused. Because when you used the links correctly, confluence stores the link relative. That means, you can move the page anywhere, and the link still works.

From the documentation:

The page – along with any attachments, comments, and child pages – is moved to your chosen location. Confluence will automatically adjust all links to the moved pages, to point to the page(s) in its new location.

Dominic, good afternoon!
These are not links to the pages themselves, but links that are placed by editing in the body of the page itself. For example, a page has a table with partitions, and this table contains links to individual pages of the same section. Will these links inside the table change their address when moving these pages to another space?

Hi @Дмитрий Пересекин

Hmm, I think I don't understand correctly.

What do you mean by "section" in the sentance: "contains links to individual pages of the same section." Do the link refer to the exact same page?

Do you mean anchor links? If yes, then it also depends how you added the links.

Can you share an example with a printscreen from the "insert link" macro, like this?

Thanks

We are talking about links of this format, placed on the page. They lead to other pages in the section that need to be moved. If we completely transfer the section with all the pages, will the link space key of this type change or will it stay with the old space key?link7.png

Hi @Дмитрий Пересекин

You never should link another confluence page like this. Because now you have a problem. The links are hardcoded, that means, they are not updated.

To link another confluence page, you should always use the confluence page links or the "share link".

Please see more information in the documentation: links
