This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Working with Tables
there is a table with irregular structure (some cells merged) and text and images inside. It was neat and slim at some point of time but now when more data added it looks too heavy, requires to scroll more and more. I need to represent this data without table.
Is there a quick way to convert table to text?
Hi Vitaliy,
have you tried simple copy/paste to a text editor?
I think that can work.
A test showed, the columns content is separated via tab stops.
Search/replace with a separator like ; created a nice and simple text with blanks for empty cells:
asdfasdf; ;asdfadsf;asdfasfd;asfasdf;asdfg;asdfasdf asdfasdf; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;asdfasdf; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;asdasdf;
Hi Matthias
thank you for reply and suggestion.
Yes, I tried plain text copy, but this leaves me without any images and text attributes.
Currently I copy to WinWord, then use Convert to Text and paste back. Sometimes it works, sometimes resulting text has inconsistent headers.
When Confluence had markup I was able to remove "|"
Would be nice to know if it can be done in Confluence now using native features
