Let's say I have a page, and within the page there is a snippet of text such as "Version: A". Is there a way to copy the contents of the page and then a way to programmatically increment the version such that the new page will have a snippet of text like "Version: B"?
I know that one can just copy the page, then change the value manually in edit mode. However, I want to be able to accomplish this with a click of a button that says "Increment Version."
Thanks in advance!

Hi Brian,
out of the box I would say no...
I could think of an user macro embedded into a page, showing the version number of that page. In this case the number would be updated for the viewers of the page always showing the current version number related to the page version history. But apart from this solution this is not possible without an additional app from the marketplace.
