How to download confluence documents to a folder on a self hosted server by using rest apis

Hello we have a use case where we have to integrate confluence to our web application . So the documents that are created in confluence , we need an api to download the documents to a local folder , from which our web app will pic up those documents . eg .pdf etc .

we want to achieve this using java .
