How to edit and save with Roadmap Planner

I hope I'm just being a dummy here.

Create a roadmap, insert it, it's in my document. Cool.

Now I want to edit it. Edit button, cool. Make my changes, cool. Now how to save..... there's only an insert button. I insert and now I have two roadmaps on my page.

What am I missing? If its dumb and obvious, all the better.

Once you are done editing your page, just click Publish up in the right-hand corner and that will create a new version of the page with your changes.

I was thrown off by the same thing! "Insert" doesn't seem like the right button label when you're editing an existing roadmap, but it is. Just make sure to "Insert" and "Publish"

I haven't experienced a duplicate roadmap when I click "Insert", but I'd take that over what happened to me lol. Twice now, when I've clicked "Insert" after making significant changes, the entire widget disappeared and I lost ALL my work. I tried CTRL+Z, but all it did was bring back the original widget from the last time the page was published and the version history only saves published changes, so I had to re-do everything (twice).

Seems like you need to save your work every ten minutes and check that it took. It doesn't save as you type which you are conditioned to expect with the rest of the confluence product.
