How to grant write-permissions to single child page only?

Hi,
let's say I have space with lots of pages and their child pages. Users of this space should have view access only to whole space. But I want to grant one of the person from this group edit access to one child page only (i.e.Child Page 5).

Granting write-permissions for the whole space and then remove write-permissions for all other pages but the specific ones seems to be kind of overkill if you want only grant write-permissions to 2 pages while the whole space consists of possible hundreds of pages. Could you please advise?

Space Example:

Unfortunately, the only way is to grant permission to the space and restrict everything except the child page.

Not sure. You might want to check out jira.atlassian.com to find existing feature requests and add one if you don't find one. I am sure this is requested before.

If you use the Confluence Command Line Interface you could automate adding the restrictions to all of the pages on a scheduled basis. That way any new pages will get the restriction if you forget to add it manually. And then on the one page that the users should have access to you could add that restriction as well.
