How to insert an excel in Confluence from Local desktop?

There is also Office Excel macro that displays Excel sheet as a table.

Hi there,
there is no way to 'embed' an excel sheet into confluence (like in onenote or word for instance). Your only two options are:
The latter will try to give you a preview if you click on the thumbnail of your excel.

Thanks for the response.I tried to drag and drop the excel file .But I am not able to preview its content or download it .

Sorry ,I had just saved it.
After publishing it,in the preview the excel file got distorted/jumbled-up as it had many linked worksheets.
But I am able to edit it using the option "edit with Excel 2016" and also able to download it .

Hi,
Your question is not completely clear. You could just try to copy the cells you want ctrl+c to copy (on a windows machine) and then edit a page in confluence and ctrl+v to paste it. Save the page and the data should be presented in a table automatically.
