Hi all,
Is it possible to make a heading or even a paragraph to collapse/expand and also have it in a table of contents?
I'm trying to create a Q&A / FAQ page where the question is the heading and the answer is collapsed.
To reveal the answer under the heading, the reader has to expand the heading.
this is to make the page more readable and clutter free.
The addons I've tried don't have the ability to show in the table of contents. Is it possible to achieve it without addons?
This is for the cloud instance only.
Hi @Gil
did you try the expand macro? I know it's not working with headlines but I made good experiences writing the questions separatly in h1 (or h2 when you need more distinctions) use the TOC macro at the beginning of page and use the expand macro for each answer.
I like especially that you can easily set anchor links to the headlines.
so the answer is in the expand macro, but the question is written above and outside the expand macro?
Do you use a title for the macro? is it "Answer"

@Gil yes that's correct.
I use h1 headline for the main topic (e.g. Article) and each question according this topic is written in h2 (e.g. Can I edit an article after I already published it?) for title I wrote for each answer 'Please click here for answer...'
Using the TOC macro at the beginning of the page it looks something like that at the beginning of the page
Article
Can I edit an article after I already published it?
Who can work on my article?
What happens when I forget to save my article?
Blog Post
Who can write blog posts?
Where do I find them?
....
When you click on a question you're interested in - it takes you to the headline and answer (when you click)
Can I edit an article after I already published it?
Please click here for answer...

You have a macro that has an Expand option. Any text inside the expand will be collapsed by default and the user can click on the user text.

maybe this add-on could help? https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215202/macro-toolbox-html-tabs-expand?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
also please pay attention that certain macros do not work in the service desk view unless the customer has JIRA access as well ...I would recommend to test it.

I tried it today and had to uninstall it.
The headings do not get populated in the table of contents, unfortunately.
