How to make tests on successful migration?

Hi All,

We are migrating a large number of spaces from confluence data centre A to B.

So I want to test/verify the post migration, like whether the migration is successful and able to work/action on the space and pages and links are working etc.

As I said we have large number of spaces and pages, we cannot do on each space/page, want any ideas of automating it or any plugins that helps here.

Please comment your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks

Chandra

You can try to match the number of pages in source and then in destination.

First in source confluence, go to:
<confluence_source_url>/dosearchsite.action?queryString=

You should a page as below. Mention the space key and select pages.

space-search.png

It should give you a result as below:
space-search1.png

Here '23' is the number of pages in the space.
You can do the same for attachments.

Now you can perform the same in destination confluence after migrating the space.

Another option is to add macros like 'Space Attachments' and 'Contributor Summary' in both source and destination Confluence and then compare if these numbers match.

Hope this helps!!
